Announcement: My eQuals has a new website! Learn more about it here.
My eQuals is the largest digital credentials network in Australia and New Zealand. Used by universities, vocational education and training (VET) providers (including Polytechnics and PTEs in New Zealand and RTOs and TAFEs in Australia), professional associations, industry and government agencies and other education providers it supports millions of learners and students, past and present, across the land.
Used by 100% of all public universities across Australia and New Zealand, it is considered the official tertiary credentials digital platform for the higher education sector, students, and verifiers. It is a pan-Pacific solution providing easy, secure access to certified, official qualification records for Australian and New Zealand education providers and their learners.
My eQuals was conceived in 2015 as a combined Australian and New Zealand higher education sector response to the Groningen Declaration and its commitment to Digital Student Data portability. The entity recognised the need for higher education institutions to have an easy and secure place to issue and manage official credentials for their students and graduates. It also recognised the need for those learners to have an easy and secure place to view and share the same credentials in a way that they could be easily verified by employers, recruitment professionals, and verification agencies.
The level of participation My eQuals has achieved makes it a world leader. It has already inspired similar initiatives elsewhere, replicating the collaboration model and using the same proven technology platform. My eQuals currently serves more than 130 education providers across Australia and New Zealand, including all the major universities. More than 10 million documents have been issued on the platform and more than 4 million students and graduates are registered.

My eQuals is managed by HES, a not-for-profit subsidiary of Universities Australia. This appointment was made by the participants of My eQuals in 2017.

Instructure is the technology partner behind the My eQuals. Instructures’ Parchment (formerly Digitary CORE) technology powers the My eQuals platform. Parchment is a world leader in digital credentials and certification, allowing people to share secure online credentials for academic achievements.

The Groningen Declaration Network is an international, non-profit and voluntary network that supports academic and professional digital credential mobility so that citizens worldwide are able to consult and share their authentic educational data autonomously, with the expectation of fair recognition. It does this by bringing together stakeholders from across the global Digital Student Data Ecosystem.
